Larimer County Jail Roster Overview

The Larimer County Sheriff's Office runs the Larimer County Jail, which is the only county jail facility identified on the official jail page. Sheriff John Feyen leads the office, and Captain Troy Badberg commands the Jail Division. The jail address is 2405 Midpoint Drive, Fort Collins, CO 80525, with the front-desk phone at 970-498-5200 and fax 970-407-9034. The Sheriff's inmate search page returns current inmates only. Booking events, the booking report, and recent releases each have a dedicated tab on the Sheriff's quick-links page.

The Larimer County roster does not show federal detainees, Colorado Department of Corrections prisoners, state hospital admissions, or immigration custody. Federal inmates appear on the Bureau of Prisons inmate locator. State prison inmates appear on the Colorado DOC Offender Search. People released from Larimer custody more than eight hours earlier appear on the released-inmates page instead of the current roster.

Note: The Sheriff's published scam warning says staff will never call to demand payment for an inmate's bond, early release, ankle monitors, or other incarceration fees; hang up on any such call.

Booking Process in Larimer County

Booking happens around the clock at the Larimer County Jail, but the jail FAQ notes that evenings, weekends, and holidays are the busiest. Processing and release time depends on how many other people are being arrested or released at the same time and whether the inmate cooperates with deputies. Combative arrestees are placed in holding cells until they cooperate. Bonds can be posted twenty-four hours a day. The booking fee is $30 for every inmate not on a writ, and a $10 bonding fee applies to each case.

First appearance scheduling depends on the case type. A felony arrest moves to an advisement at County Court, then to a preliminary hearing and, if bound over, to District Court. A misdemeanor or traffic case is set in County Court. Weekend bond hearings sit on the BHO3 calendar at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday for the upcoming long weekend, with a paperwork cutoff at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Court Resource Center at the Justice Center supports self-represented filers on non-criminal matters but does not provide criminal defense advice.

Bond Options in Larimer County

The jail accepts cash bonds twenty-four hours a day. Cash can be posted at the jail entrance kiosk, online, or by phone at 1-888-604-7888 using AllPaid. Jail staff also accept money orders and cashier's checks at the release window. Surety bonds go through a private bondsman; jail staff cannot recommend a bondsman. Property bonds are completed at the Justice Center at 201 LaPorte Avenue, and the only accepted collateral is land. Personal recognizance and personal recognizance with co-obligor are options when the judge authorizes them.

Booking does not accept checks. Credit cards are accepted with additional fees. The best time to turn yourself in if you plan to bond quickly, per the jail FAQ, is 8:30-9:00 a.m. on a weekday. See the warrant records page for the full surrender walkthrough and the released-inmates page for the post-release verification process.
