What a Larimer County Court Docket Is
A docket is the court's calendar of upcoming hearings and the chronological list of events in a case. The Colorado Judicial Branch docket search lets the public look up hearings in any of the state's twenty-two judicial districts. For Larimer County, the docket covers District Court matters at the Larimer County Justice Center and County Court matters at both the Justice Center and the Loveland County Court branch. Docket entries are added as filings are processed, hearings are scheduled, and orders are entered. The docket does not show the full text of any document.
Each docket result lists the case number, case class, court, courtroom, date and time, judge or magistrate when displayed, and the parties. A separate field, the register of actions, lists every filed event in date order. The Colorado Judicial Branch Access Guide explains that the docket is the right tool for hearing information, while document copies must come from the court that handled the case.

What Is Not on the Larimer County Public Docket
Sealed cases, juvenile delinquency files, dependency and neglect cases, mental health proceedings, and adoption cases are not in the public docket search. Municipal court traffic and ordinance cases in Fort Collins, Loveland, and Estes Park are filed in city municipal courts and are not in the state docket. Federal cases for Colorado run through the U.S. District Court at cod.uscourts.gov and the Tenth Circuit at ca10.uscourts.gov.
Note: A docket result that disappears between visits often means the case was sealed, dismissed, or moved to a restricted class; call the Clerk of Court at 970-494-3500 for confirmation.
